Historic Buildings

Stone Technical Services carries out a variety of restoration and conservation works on some of the UK’s most famous historic buildings.

Our own craftsmen carry out the conservation and restoration of building fabric and structures sympathetically and efficiently and using traditional methods in conjunction with organisations such as the National Trust and English Heritage and architects, surveyors, facility services companies and DACs

Recent examples include: -

  • St Paul’s Cathedral, London- as well as already being the approved contractor to carry out all lightning protection work, Stone has also carried out a refurbishment of the balustrades at St Paul’s to prevent further damage from weather and pollution.
  • Royal Courts of Justice, London- Stone erected a 25 meter flagpole and specialist access scaffolding to carry out general high level maintenance on the building located on The Strand.
  • Chapter House, Westminster Abbey- spire repairs and lead works as well as specialist inspections of the cross detail
